Book launch: Alike or Different? Scandinavian Approaches to Military Interventions

The book launch is hosted by DIIS, Danish Institute for International Studies and FAK, Royal Danish Defense College

The strategic decision making procedures of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are explored and compared in this book.

Despite their different experiences during the Second World War, politics in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are often looked upon as being guided by a similar Scandinavian identity.

However, their approach to the European Union and NATO in matters of security and defense politics differs and this indicates that they might not be that similar after all.

At this book launch authors from each of the four countries present and discuss the main findings of their work.
