The meeting starts with a presentation of the right to education in fragile situations by Charlotte Beyer, Coordinator Education in Emergencies, Save the Children Denmark.

It will be discussed what has been/is done to guarantee education to children/youth in fragile contexts. Moreover, it will be argued why education is important right from the start for the psycho-social well being of children and youth. Furthermore education is considered a priority for the communities affected by emergency.

The meeting continues with the IBIS South Sudan Education Intervention, by Nicolò di Marzo, Program Development Advisor and James Drani, M&E Coordinator, South Sudan.

They will talk about the current conflict in South Sudan and IBIS background and involvement in Education in South Sudan. This includes the implementation of a two-tier approach and components of an emergency intervention including the Cluster approach.

The meeting will be held in English.
