At the World Education Forum in South Korea in May 2015, ministers and official representatives from more than 160 countries, agreed on a visionary education agenda for achieving quality education for all in 2030.

The new education agenda contains visions of inclusion (alle skal være med), equity (retfærdighed), gender equality (lighed mellem kønnene), quality education, lifelong learning opportunities for all with specific focus on fragile states and conflict-affected areas.

These visions are gathered in one ambitious goal – namely the Sustainable Development Goal no. 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning opportunities for all.

IBIS and the Global Focus Working Group on Education are organizing a meeting, where representatives from the Danish delegation will account for the further process and present their assessments of the new ambitious education agenda.

The question of the day is: How do we make sure that the ambitious education agenda is going to be achieved by 2030?

An overview of the new goals will be presented, followed by a discussion of the new education agenda in a Danish, European and international perspective.
