Møde med FNs øverste chef i Colombia

Årets sidste LA-netværksmøde holdes lidt tidligere end planlagt og i et andet format end det vanlige.

The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator / UNDP Resident Representative in Colombia, Fabrizio Hochschild, will share his thoughts and insights on Colombia, the peace process and the role of the UN. 

Colombia grows increasingly important as a political actor in the region, and is home to Latin America’s largest UN operation. The UN is involved as an observer in the ongoing peace negotiations in Havana between the Colombian Government and FARC. 

The event is hosted jointly by the UNDP Nordic Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Ms. Camilla Brückner, Director, UNDP Nordic Office and Ambassador Erik Laursen, Department for Asia, Latin America and Oceania. A Q&A session is envisioned.

About Fabrizio Hochschild (Chile/UK) 

UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Colombia, Fabrizio Hochschild, has spent most of his life working for peace under the UN banner.

Amongst many positions, Mr Hochschild has served as Director of Field Personnel in the Department of Field Support of the UN, with the Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights (OHCHR) as Chief of Field Operations and Technical Cooperation, as Deputy Representative for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Tanzania and Serbia, as Chief of Office on UN missions in East Timor, in Kosovo and in OCHA.
