Meet some of the faces behind Danida Development Assistance
By Annette Kaalund-Jørgensen
Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) invites the public to join us during “Kulturnatten” – Culture Night.
For the second time, we will be part of this event and we invite all of you to participate, to learn about our activities, meet Danida students and researchers and to get a taste of the world.
Learn about African and Asian cultures
You will meet Danida fellows from Africa and Asia, who will tell their personal stories. They will enlighten you on their studies and research and share their culture.
For instance, you can get a small mehndi drawing at your hand, learn about the best turist attractions in Uganda, fashion and handcrafts in Ghana, listen to interviews of research in Africa on edible insects, sardine fishing in Lake Victoria, and peace and conflicts in Northern Uganda.
Make Vietnamese spring rolls
You are also invited to get a taste of Africa and Asia when we serve local snacks – and you can even learn to make the traditional Vietnamese spring rolls.
In addition, you will learn a lot more about Africa and Asia when you and your family participate in the big World Quiz among other games.
Throughout the evening, a great band will be playing several sessions. Just like last year, the lineup is Moussa Diallo (bass and vocals), Preben Carlsen (guitar) and Salieu Dibba (percussionist and vocals). The band plays a mix of funk, jazz and traditional African music.
