Seminar: Scandinavian Architects Abroad – Practices and Strategies in Developing Architecture

The Copenhagen seminar discusses building practices and experimental strategies in the developing architecture.

Projects by the participating organizations and Engineers Without Borders Denmark presents the building and design practices, when building abroad in an unfamiliar culture.

Architect Jakob Knudsen, Ingvartsen Arkitekter and lecturer at KADK, gives a talk on his work as an building architect in Tanzania and the Philippines, and gives his perspective on what an scandinavian architect can contribute with and gain, when working in the tropics.

Architect David Garcia, MAP Architects and Head of the coming Institute of Architecture and Technology at KADK, presents his inspirational, experimental exercises and speculative projects to push mindset of the architect and audience mindsets to unexplored corners.

The seminar ends with a open discussion with the audience and presenters. The discussion is moderated by Architect Justine Bell.

Everyone is welcome to come and join in the discussion.

The seminar will be held in English. It is hosted by Architecture Sans Frontières Denmark.
