Background

Under its new strategy, the World Bank Group (WBG) will help countries tackle persistent development challenges by providing not only financial and technical assistance, but also support to multi-stakeholder coalitions, targeted learning on approaches that have succeeded in similar situations and by surfacing and scaling local innovations that provide context-specific solutions.

During this interactive seminar, Mr. Pradhan will discuss his new Vice-Presidency on Leadership, Learning & Innovation (LLI), and the role of these three “accelerators” of development in Indian and African contexts, as well as in fragile and conflict-affected states.

Speaker

Sanjay Pradhan leads the leadership, learning and innovation for development agenda of the WBG.

He played a leading role in the recent change process at the WBG and is a member of the President’s Senior Management Team. Mr. Pradhan holds a PhD from Harvard University.
