A major international conference on the development of Afghanistan is scheduled to be held in the Indian capital New Delhi from November 18 to 19 (= i denne weekend), the Afghan Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
The purpose of the conference is to assess the achievements in Afghanistan in the past year to attract more investment, and to use Afghanistans capabilities as a linking bridge in Central Asia, said the ministry.
In addition to six neighboring countries of Afghanistan, others nations including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the eight largest industrial countries, and the UN, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Bank, and some other regional and international organizations will participate in this conference.
