Job: Save the Children Denmark (SCD): Reporting and Quality Assurance Advisor
The Danish development cooperation agency, Danida, is a core strategic partner to SCD and a donor of a significant part of our international work. The role of the Reporting and Quality Assurance Advisor is to coordinate, compile and write the annual reports and applications to Danida. The role is further responsible for general support to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) efforts across the International Department and working together with the SCI country and regional Offices, with a focus on quality assurance of SCD reporting and applications of strategic importance.
- Responsible for coordinating Danida reporting processes including:
- Developing process plans and working with colleagues to secure timely inputs
- Conducting quality assurance of contributions
- Compiling quality reports using Danida formats and ensuring timely submission
- Responsible for any other reporting to Danida, such as the DAC reporting
- Responsible for being updated on Danida aid management guidelines, ensuring that SCD comply with requirements
- Responsible for coordinating the Danida application processes including:
- Developing process plans and working with colleagues to secure timely inputs
- Conducting quality assurance of contributions
- Compiling quality applications using Danida formats and ensuring timely submission
- Responsible for coordinating the SCD Danida reference group
- Responsible for supporting the Country Engagement Advisors on quarterly project management updates and review meetings, including identifying opportunities for enhanced learning
- Responsible for general Quality Assurance (QA) of important and strategic applications, in particular QA on logframes and results frameworks
- Support driving forward the Evidence and Learning agenda in SCD
- Responsible for providing MEAL support (approaches and tools) to teams within the International Department
- Support capacity building of SCD and partner Country Office staff in MEAL approaches and tools
- Solid experience working with Monitoring and Evaluation, developing and quality assuring logframes, results frameworks, indicators, baselines and targets, and donor reporting. Experience with Danida reporting and applications, and general compliance with Danida aid management guidelines, preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with SCD and SCI MEAL systems and approaches is an advantage
- Solid understanding of and experience with development and humanitarian work
- Strong process coordination and facilitation skills
- Strong analytical and synthesizing skills
- Excellent presentation skills, in particular in writing
- Excellent spoken and written Danish and English.
