København: Workshop om EU’s tømmerforordning (EUTR)

D. 31. oktober afholder organisationen NEPCon en gratis heldags-workshop om EU’s tømmerforordning (EUTR), der skal sikre import af lovligt træ til Europa http://www.nepcon.org/events/due-diligence-workshop-denmark-meeting-eutr-obligations-practice. 

Workshoppen er gratis og henvendt danske virksomheder, der har dokumentationsansvar, men måske har svært ved at gennemskue, hvordan man lever op til EUTR’s krav. 

Workshoppen afholdes delvist på engelsk og delvist på dansk. 

Program

• The impact of the EUTR on the legal trade and forestry // NGO perspective (to be confirmed). How illegal logging and trade happen in practice and the challenges of identifying illegality in supply chains.
• EUTR enforcement in Denmark // by Niels Bølling, Danish Competent Authority (in Danish). The ancient art of not getting caught! The Danish CA will tell about lessons learned from the last 3 to 4 years of inspection. Good stories and sad ones, who got free and who did not – and why. And what to expect in the future, Q&A.
• Domino Møbler’s perspective on living up to the EUTR requirements // by Jan Hallas, CEO from Domino Møbler (in Danish). Domino Møbler’s experience with creating a robust due diligence system, insights in challenges and solutions and lessons learned.
• How to use NEPCon Sourcing Hub in a due diligence process // by Christian Sloth and Alexandra Banks, NEPCon (In Danish and English). Practical introduction to this new online tool that collects all information needed to live up to the EUTR requirements – Q&A included.
• Break out session 1 – Putting the tools into action // by NEPCon (in English). Using the Sourcing Hub to investigate and discuss various sourcing scenarios across a series of themes*, such as: the use of certification, sourcing complex products and documentation, its uses and limitations.
