Job: Mercy Corps Europe is looking for a Strategic Institutional Partnerships Manager

Strategic Institutional Partnerships Manager

Mercy Corps is a leading global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible.
In disaster, in hardship, in more than 40 countries around the world, we partner to put bold solutions into action — helping people triumph over adversity and build stronger communities from within. Now, and for the future.

The Strategic Institutional Partnerships Manager (SIPM) is a new position within the agency, created as a result of the significant growth of Mercy Corps Europe (MCE). MCE has adopted an ambitious resource mobilisation strategy that seeks to build more strategic partnerships with bilateral and multilateral donor agencies to increase our income, influence, and programmatic impact. We are looking for a determined, passionate individual who can contribute significantly to developing these partnerships, with a particular focus on Northern and Western Europe, where the is huge untapped potential. This role will offer the space to be innovative and bold in creating and converting important opportunities for technical, financial and policy cooperation.

This is very much a front line position and we are looking for a candidate who we feel can confidently be the 'face' of our organisation in front of key partners. The successful candidate will not only have the right experience on paper but also the right personal 'fit'; someone who really lives and breathes our culture and values, with a visible passion for the work we do and a desire to tell our story. S/he will have excellent interpersonal skills, excel at networking and building long-term relationships, and will be proactive and creative in their work. Experience of working in a senior field-based role would be an advantage, and candidates must be able to demonstrate a track record in successfully engaging with relevant European institutional partners.

Please note that candidates must have the right to work in the UK, Belgium or Switzerland at the time of application.
