Job: Oxfam IBIS is seeking a Program advisor for Mali, Niger and Francophone West Africa
Background
Oxfam IBIS has worked in Burkina Faso for five years and have a substantial program there. The ambition was and is to develop the program in French speaking West Africa further to encompass Mali and Niger. We became a member of Oxfam International in 2016 and the program development will happen within the framework of Oxfam’s program (the country strategies mentioned). These strategies cover a broad range of thematic areas, including youth, extractives, economic development, and gender justice. The ambition is to strategically design our future role and contribution to Oxfam programs in the said countries, building on our strategic priorities and on donor opportunities.
Key qualifications
Operational and theoretical expertise in development works in Francophone West Africa, preferably Mali and Niger.
A broad thematic knowledge with a bias towards social justice, civil society support and other governance issues.
An entrepreneurial mind-set and an ability to formulate programs and fundraise with institutional donors.
Talent for facilitating cooperation between different stakeholders.
Fluency in French and preferably in English as well. A grasp of Danish.
Salary and conditions
Salary and working conditions due to present collective agreement with a salary scale between 35.353 DKK and 48.872 DKK including pension and pay supplement. Pay grading will be bases on experience and education.
The position is permanent.
