Det fremgår af en pressemeddelelse fra Kinas udenrigsministerie.

On September 19, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang chaired the symposium of “the Sustainable Development Goals: A Universal Push to Transform Our World—China’s Perspective” at the UN headquarters in New York, and announced the release of China’s National Plan on Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as the major achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Summit held in September 2015, is a guideline for current international development.

Its core content covers 17 goals and 169 specific targets spanning various aspects including economy, social affairs and environment.

Development as top priority

As the largest developing country in the world, China insists on taking development as the top priority and has fully initiated the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

In April this year, China released its Position Paper on the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and participated in the UN’s first round of voluntary national review in July.

As this year’s G20 Presidency, China called for the G20 to formulate the G20 Action Plan for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is highly valued by the international community.

Five parts

The National Plan consists of five parts: achievements and experience in China’s implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, opportunities and challenges in China’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, guiding thoughts and general principles for China’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, overall approaches for China’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and implementation plan for the 17 sustainable development goals.

The National Plan will be an action guide for China to carry out the implementation and provide references to other countries, especially the developing countries on advancing the implementation.

Facing the future, China will, under the guidance of the National Plan, carry out the concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and make contributions to the cause of global development within its capacity.
